Weekends

Yes I know its Tuesday, but I thought I'd share a little bit about our weekend. When the team was here a few weeks ago, I had the privilege of taking a few of the ladies to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Its one of the top gardens in the world and it is very beautiful - its also a never ending maze of uphills paths through flower beds and winding trails. I think it would take days to see every inch of the place.
That said, we head there this past weekend so Kevin and the girls could take a gander. We planned well bringing along a light lunch and a blanket. The girls did a great job running and climbing and looking at all the "pretty flowers". We had to keep reminding them not to pick the flowers! LOL. The next morning Katie informed me, "my legs hurt." No wander with all the uphill walking we all did. We spent about 3-1/2 hours there total. So yes we all slept really well that night - everyone in bed early.
Anyway, I posted some pictures on our Facebook. I'm providing the link below. Don't worry, you don't have to have an account to view the pictures.

On Sunday we were Grand Central Station. We had a couple of the kids from Molly's Place over for lunch and a movie. Then some of the grandkids came by, then our neighbors came by. Finally at 6 I sent everyone home. Had a light dinner then off to bed. Still tired from the day before.

So things are going well overall. We keep find new places to visit and enjoy the beauty of the country. We're already planning a day for the World of Birds in Houts Bay.

Thanks for all your prayers and comments. Its nice to hear from everyone. Have a great week!
